In Podhale, you can hear a legend about a knight sleeping under the peaks of the Tatra Mountains, and you can also hear stories about the legendary Biedronka receipts. The knights have become history, just as the stories about receipts are slowly becoming history. From July 23, Biedronka will make available to customers using the Moja Biedronka card or the Biedronka mobile application the possibility of using the e-fiscal receipts service. Assuming that customers using the Moja Biedronka card/Biedronka mobile application take advantage of the new function available in their stores, receipt paper savings may amount to up to 75,000 kilometers per year. Thanks to the new solution, tax-binding confirmation of purchases will be sent to the user's account on moja.biedronka.pl and to the application, instead of being printed out at the checkout.
In the first stage of implementation, the service will cover over 1,700 branches throughout the country. Additional branches will be added as part of the modernization process of receipt printing devices – they must have access to the Internet to transmit data to the appropriate systems. New equipment is installed during modernization works in subsequent facilities. Older printers will simply print a traditional fiscal receipt for customers with an active e-receipt service.

The new function will be available to customers who activate the e-receipt service in the application (updating to version 2.8.0 will be necessary) or on the website moja.biedronka.pl. Then, to use it during a visit to the store, buyers should use the My Biedronka card or the Biedronka mobile application / the number assigned to the My Biedronka card before completing the shopping – just like they do when they want to take advantage of discounts at Biedronka. Each digital fiscal receipt will be stored in the user's account for 3 years, and can be downloaded as a file in .pdf or .json format.
