US President Joe Biden's decision to replace all port cranes produced in China with cranes from other countries promises a flood of orders from the Finnish company Konecranes and, through it, the Estonian manufacturer Konesko, writes Delovye Vedomosti.
According to Konesko CEO Mart-Jarvo Hirtentreu, an increase in export orders from the United States has been felt since last year.
US officials believe that cranes made in China may be equipped with spying devices, which is why President Biden signed an executive order in February to replace port cranes made in China with alternatives. Biden will allocate $20 billion over the next five years to replace the faucets.
Konecranes' plans to conquer the US market also promise additional work for the large Estonian manufacturer Konesko, which is partly owned and subcontracted by the Finnish company.
