The turnover of the owner of the Beta store chain, SIA Ranvus, last year amounted to 58.06 million euros, which is 2% less than a year earlier, according to information from Lursoft. Profit after tax also fell, from €2.24 million in 2022 to €1.82 million last year. Ranvus explains the decline in SIA's performance by fierce competition with nearby Maxima, Lidl and Rimi stores. "Under its influence, profits and turnover decreased," the company said in a statement. The trader believes that if the economic situation in the country worsens, the company’s turnover will decrease even more this year. Given the fierce competition in the trade of food and household goods, this year SIA Ranvus plans to analyze customer wishes, review its product range, and also carry out a number of sales promotion activities. To reduce the supply chain, the company will give preference to those manufacturers who supply their goods themselves and provide logistics. In the near future, SIA Ranvus plans to modernize and divide the existing premises in order to attract new tenants. Last year the company provided jobs to 789 people. The state budget received 5.63 million euros in taxes.
