Bensons for Beds has opened 15 stores in the past three weeks following its acquisition of 19 Carpetright stores in August.
The bed specialist has been in the process of converting the flooring chain’s former units and has now reopened more than a dozen of them.
Bensons, which has traditionally favoured retail parks, also opened its first high street store in Sutton and returned to Northern Ireland after four years with a new store in Belfast.
The full list of new branches are: Aberdeen, Ashton, Bath, Belfast, Canterbury, Edmonton, Exeter, Gillingham, Irvine, Kettering, Oldbury, Salisbury, Slough, Solihull, Sutton and Torquay.

Bensons for Beds chief executive Nick Collard said: “The scale of openings we have managed to take on in the last few weeks is unprecedented by us as a business and is a huge feat for any retail business, particularly in the current economic climate.
“Whilst market conditions have remained challenging, Bensons will be well placed to capitalise on a recovery in the market.
“This is all due to the continuing transformation of the business to become the leading bed specialist, offering expert advice and fantastic value for money, all going towards helping our customers get a great night’s sleep.”
Collard added: “Since our return to profitability in 2023, we have continued to see significant market share gains across all our core categories, reflecting the hard work from all of our colleagues across the organisation.”
