Avito analysts calculated how much Russians are willing to spend on home gym equipment.

Dumbbells have become among the most popular sporting goods among Russians. According to Avito Tovarov analysts, in June 2024 they accounted for 17% of all sales in the category. On average, dumbbells on the site are purchased for 3,300 rubles.
In second place are mats and mats for fitness, their share of sales was 14%. There is a wide range of prices in this category: a rug will cost on average 1,500 – 2,000 rubles, a mat – about 10,000 rubles. Horizontal bars came next – 7% of total sales. It costs an average of 5,000 rubles to purchase it. Barbells and weights are less popular, with a 4% share of sales. On average, such inventory can be purchased on the platform for 7,300 and 2,900 rubles, respectively.
The most popular electric exercise machine among Russian sports fans is a treadmill; it sells for an average of 16,400 rubles, which is 8% less than in January 2024.
On average, according to Avito Tovarov, setting up a home gym in June of this year will cost 38,900 rubles – this is 6% less than at the beginning of 2024. This set includes a treadmill, dumbbells, a large exercise mat and a barbell.
You can add an exercise bike to your home gym for an average of 7,900 rubles; its price has decreased by 8% since January. Buying a bench will cost another 6,400 rubles. You can replace the bike path with an elliptical trainer – they sell for an average of 15,000 rubles, which is 2% cheaper than in January 2024.
