Avito Services analysts told us what equipment Russians rent most often.

It turned out that over the past year (from July 2023 to July 2024), the demand for renting garden tools (branch shredders, cultivators, lawn mowers, etc.) and party equipment (tents, sound consoles, music speakers, etc.) has grown almost 3-fold (+178%). Sports equipment (SUP boards, electric bicycles, catamarans, etc.) began to be rented 2.5 times more often (+153%), and construction tools (hammer drills, vibratory plates, generators, scaffolding, etc.) – almost 2-fold (+93%).
Seasonality in equipment rental is also noticeable. From January to July 2024, demand for construction equipment rental increased almost 3 times (+187%), and for garden equipment rental – 2.7 times (+166%). Demand for sports equipment and holiday equipment rental increased by half on average over six months.
In the overall demand structure, construction tools predominate. In second place is sports equipment. Party equipment and garden tools occupy third and fourth place, respectively.
The top 5 cities in terms of demand for holiday equipment include: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk and Ufa.
