Sales revenues recorded by Auchan Polska increased by less than 3% compared to 2022, exceeding PLN 11,472 million.
In 2023, the network contributed nearly PLN 905 million to the Polish budget in the form of taxes and levies. The retail sales tax amounted to PLN 130 million, the VAT surplus paid was PLN 235 million, and the CIT tax was over PLN 49 million.
The amounts of advance payments and charges due to ZUS and PIT amounted to over PLN 369 million.
The chain closed the year with a net profit of PLN 73 million, and the company's operating profit amounted to PLN 215 million.

Auchan lost two supermarkets and two hypermarkets in two months
– In 2023, we started a series of technological investments in strategic areas of our operations. By supporting sales and customer service, we implement advanced technological solutions that, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning processes, will significantly influence the optimization of processes and the scaling of our multi-channel business. We invariably want to be as close to the Polish consumer as possible, work in synergy in all our sales formats, providing customers with access to both the rich offer of our network and low prices. This direction of development will clearly dominate Auchan's investments also in the following years – one of the latest examples of this is the planned launch of a fully robotic distribution center of our network based on solutions unique on our market – says Alexandre Saussard, general director of Auchan Polska. – Moreover, we are diversifying and intensively expanding our portfolio of renewable energy sources, with the aim of achieving energy independence of our network and ensuring constant, price-stable access to green energy, while optimizing its costs. These activities are of strategic importance to us and are consistent with the assumptions of our network in terms of reducing CO2 emissions, an example of which is the "Partners in decarbonization" project, under which, together with partners, we create a low-emission product offer – he adds.
The company manages a network of 106 own stores in Poland: 70 hypermarkets and 35 supermarkets, as well as an autonomous Auchan GO store. In addition, the chain cooperates with 25 franchise stores and 74 convenience stores under the Easy Auchan brand in partnership with bp.
