At the end of April, the store held a "farewell" sale of all goods, which was announced on its social media profile. Then he limited the opening hours and closed the facility completely.
Auchan in Ciechanów at Pułtuska 110 operated from mid-July 2023 to the end of April 2024, i.e. 9 months. It was a franchise store. It employed over 700 sq m. 18 people to serve.
A similar fate befell Auchan at the Cuprum Arena in Lublin. The mall previously rented the space to Alma, which went out of business. Then in 2017 Lidl moved in but moved out after 5 years. The last one from August 2023 was Auchan, but after less than a year it closed and now a new Auchan concept is being built in this place and the store is covered with the banner "We are changing for you. Auchan".
Also in Karolina Park in Rzeszów, things happened at an express pace. On December 21, the store moves into the center and disappears at the end of May.
We asked the Auchan press office what stores were run in Poland by the franchisee of the Kielce store and whether they were also closed. However, we received a reply that Auchan does not disclose information on this subject due to commercial confidentiality reasons.

Auchan Polska is a French retail chain that manages 70 Auchan hypermarkets, 50 Auchan Supermarkets (including 20 franchise stores), 66 Easy Auchan stores at BP stations, 9 Moje Auchan stores and 1 autonomous Auchan Go store. The company declares that it wants to have 120 Easy Auchan stores by the end of 2025 and launch 40 Auchan Go outlets in a few years. The first autonomous Auchan Go store was established in 2023, and no new ones have been created since then. In 2019, the company announced that it would like to have 300 franchise stores, half of which would operate under the Moje Auchan brand. In 2023, only 5 franchise stores were launched. The company is therefore focusing on priorities other than quantitative development. In a few months of 2024, the chain lost 4 franchise stores.
