As reported by the District Police Headquarters in Tarnowskie Góry, the collision occurred at one of the intersections in Świerklaniec. As a result of improper behavior on the road, both drivers were issued tickets and penalty points.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. on 3 Maja Street. Police officers dispatched to the scene determined that an Aston Martin driven by a 37-year-old from Piekary Śląskie hit a tractor driven to the left by a 74-year-old from Nakło Śląskie. Analyzing the course of the entire incident and checking the recordings from surveillance cameras at the scene of the collision, the officers issued tickets to both drivers because the man did not exercise due caution when maneuvering the tractor, and the driver of the passenger car overtook other vehicles, ultimately hitting the turning Ursus – the police inform.
The officers remind us that, according to the law, every driver of a vehicle should exercise special caution before starting to change the direction of travel, consisting of increasing attention and adapting their behavior to the conditions and situations changing on the road. The same applies to the provisions of the law, in which it is forbidden to overtake vehicles without making sure that another road user has not started another maneuver, especially in the area of intersections.
These elementary rules based on road traffic regulations should be respected in order to avoid similar incidents in the future – the police added. – Let's remember that every maneuver we make on the road should be well thought out!
