The changes apply to a total of five municipalities located in two voivodeships: Pomerania and West Pomerania.
Red zone in the Pomeranian Voivodeship
The changes in the Pomeranian Voivodeship are a consequence of outbreak no. 2024/40, which was confirmed on August 19 in the Sztum commune. As a result, the following were included in the red zone:
Sztum County
- part of the Mikołajki Pomorskie commune located west of the line marked by the road connecting the towns of Olszak – Krasna Łąka – Dworek – Perklice – Stążki – Rodowo to the southern border of the commune
- part of the commune of Stary Targ located west of the line marked by the railway line running from the western border to the town of Jurkowice Pierwsze, and then south of the line marked by the road connecting the towns of Jurkowice Pierwsze – Jurkowice, then south of the line marked by road no. 515 running from the town of Jurkowice to the town of Tropy Sztumskie, then west of the line marked by road no. 517 running from the town of Tropy Sztumskie to the town of Stary Targ, then south of the road connecting the towns of Stary Targ – Waplewo Wielkie and then west of the line marked by the road connecting the towns of Waplewo Wielkie – Waplewo – Tulice – Olszak – Krasna Łąka
- part of the Sztum commune not previously included in the red zone

Red zone in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship
In turn, the changes in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship are a consequence of outbreak no. 2024/42, which was confirmed on August 26 in the Stargard commune. The red zone was introduced in the following areas:
Stargard County
- part of the Marianowo commune located west of the line marked by the road running from the southern border of the commune and connecting the towns of Barzkowice – Marianowo – Trąbki to the intersection with road no. 20, then west of the line marked by the Krępa and Krępiel rivers running from the intersection with road no. 20 to the western border of the commune in the town of Kępy
- part of the Stargard commune not previously included in the red zone

This is not the end of changes in ASF zones
This will probably not be the end of the changes to the scope of the red zone. Soon, the area on the border of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Pomeranian and Warmian-Masurian voivodeships may be included in its area. This is all due to the ASF outbreak confirmed last Tuesday in the Łasin commune in Grudziądz county.
