The changes in the scope of the red zone are due to the occurrence of two ASF outbreaks in new locations. This concerns outbreak no. 2024/28, which was confirmed on July 25 in the southern part of Poznań, and outbreak no. 2024/24, which was confirmed on July 23 in the Ryjewo commune in Kwidzyn district.
Where was the red zone introduced?
According to the latest regulation, the following locations have been included in the red zone:
Greater Poland Voivodeship:
- Poznań County: Swarzędz, Luboń, Puszczykowo communes, parts of Kórnik, Kleszczewo, Mosina and Dopiewo communes
Pomeranian Voivodeship:
- Kwidzyn County: Ryjewo commune, part of the city of Kwidzyn, and the communes of Kwidzyn, Prabuty and Gardeja
- Sztum County: part of the Mikołajki Pomorskie commune
Detailed coverage of the zones is available on the website of the Chief Veterinary Inspectorate. It will soon be available on our ASF coverage map.

Cosmetic changes in the pink zone
The latest regulation also slightly changed the scope of the pink zone related to the presence of ASF outbreaks in wild boars. It was introduced in the following areas:
- West Pomeranian Voivodeship: Stara Dąbrowa commune in Stargard County
- Wielkopolska Province: part of the Kleszczewo and Kostrzyn communes in Poznań County
- Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship: the city of Sandomierz in the Sandomierz district
This is not the end of changes
It is already certain that we will face further changes in both the red and pink zones. The area with the highest restrictions will certainly expand in the northern part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, which is related to the recent outbreak of ASF in pigs in the Węgorzewo district. In turn, the pink zone will cover the western part of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. This is due to the recent outbreak of ASF in wild boars on the border of the Łomża and Kolno districts.
