The KRIR Management Board in April this year. asked the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski, to take action to accelerate the payment of direct payments and to separate payments for the Animal Welfare eco-scheme from other direct payments.
– Ww. the eco-scheme implemented as part of direct payments extends the period for considering the application by ARiMR due to the degree of its complexity. A low advance payment and lack of direct payments cause payment backlogs, which complicates the situation of farms keeping animals. Therefore, we believe that ARiMR should issue two separate decisions, i.e. on direct payments and on welfare payments – wrote the agricultural chambers in a letter to the Ministry of Agriculture.

– After considering the case, in order to enable earlier payment of direct area payments and production-related payments to farmers also applying for the Animal Welfare eco-scheme, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development took steps to separate the issuance of these decisions, i.e. separately for welfare payments and other direct payments, already for applications submitted as part of the 2024 campaign .
