At the session on August 6 this year. There was a slight increase in the prices of dairy products on the Global Dairy Trade exchange. The value of the general price index at the last auction increased by 0.5%, which is at a similar level as during the previous session.
The increase in the value of the general price index resulted in increases in most categories of dairy products offered. The largest price increases occurred in the case of lactose (+16.1%) and Mozzarella (+8.4%). In turn, the largest decrease concerned skimmed milk powder (-2.7%).

Dairy product sales volume with strong growth
At the last GDT session, 35,965 tons of dairy products were sold, which was a result of over 13,000. a ton higher compared to the previous auction. The results of the last GDT session are as follows:
- Anhydrous milk fat – increase by 1.2%,
- Butter – decrease by 2.4%,
- Buttermilk powder – increase by 3.4%,
- Cheddar cheese – increase by 1.3%,
- Lactose – increase by 16.1%,
- Mozzarella – an increase of 8.4%,
- Skimmed milk powder – decrease by 2.7%,
- Whole milk powder – increase by 2.4%.
Although some price fluctuations are observed on the GDT stock exchange, changes in the domestic milk market have maintained a constant downward trend since the beginning of the year. The average purchase price of milk only in one voivodeship exceeds PLN 2/liter.
