An iconic restaurant brand is looking for a franchisee in Poland

Kultowa marka restauracji szuka franczyzobiorcy w Polsce

An iconic brand of fast-food restaurants with a global reach based in the United States – has signed two new agreements with franchisees in Ireland and Romania. The new partners will help Wendy's establish hundreds of locations in Europe over ten years, starting in 2025.

Wendy's is looking for a development partner in Poland and the Czech Republic

In addition, the company is actively looking for franchisees on other European markets, including: in Poland and the Czech Republic. Candidates should demonstrate extensive operational experience, knowledge of the local market and a documented history of dynamic brand development.

European countries are priority

In 2021, Wendy's returned to the UK, creating a base for future expansion in Europe. The company expects that by the end of the year the number of restaurants in its British chain will increase to 50, and it also plans to further expand to 400 premises. Wendy's, together with its franchisees, is constantly increasing its activity on the British market – also in the north of the country, where it is opening a restaurant in Liverpool in the summer. To be able to develop throughout Europe, the company has also invested significant funds locally, including: in an efficient supply chain, regional operational teams and cooperation with the best marketing and creative agencies.

"As we continue our journey to become an increasingly global brand, European countries are priority, strategic growth markets and will help us expand Wendy's presence internationally. To accelerate this process, we are focused on building relationships with franchisees who share our ambitions and want to build the reach of Wendy's restaurants across the continent," says EJ Wunsch, president of the management board of Wendy's.

“This is a fantastic time for the Wendy's team in Europe. Our network is growing dynamically, and fans and customers are constantly asking where we will open this time. We are ready to meet their demand by opening Wendy's restaurants in additional locations, thereby serving fresh and tasty high-quality food to European consumers in the places where they live, work and relax.” – says Michael Clarke, managing director of Wendy's for Europe.

Wendy's is mainly famous for its fresh beef burgers served to order straight from the grill. There are over 7,100 Wendy's restaurants in over 30 countries around the world.

The share of foreign premises in the brand development plan until 2025 is 70%.
