On May 5, 2023, the mayor of Wałbrzych received two applications for the demolition of two neighboring buildings:

– cold storage building with an office part and accompanying buildings, at ul. Limanowskiego 10, plot no. 406/3, precinct 27 Śródmieście. In the application, NORDIS Chłodnie Polskie requested permission to demolish an industrial building with a volume of 3,173 cubic meters.

– in turn, the Porcelana Krzysztof company submitted an application for the demolition of the buildings and structures of the "Porcelain Krzysztof" Plant at ul. Limanowskiego 10 on plot no. 406/1, 406/2, 406/4, precinct 27 Śródmieście. Industrial buildings with a volume of 3,536 cubic meters are scheduled for demolition.

At the end of May 2023, the city gave consent to the demolition of the cold store building with an office part and the accompanying Nordis buildings, and in mid-June 2023, the city agreed to demolish the buildings of the Krzysztof Porcelain Plant.

It is not known whether the new owner of the company – STRAIM CAPITAL LIMITED, controlled by Dmytro Ushmaiev, will decide to implement the decisions made by its predecessors. When asked by interia.pl, the new owner replied that he had not yet made a decision on demolishing the buildings for which permits have already been issued.

According to information from the Wałbrzych City Council session, the land between Limanowskiego, Gen. Zajączka, Wajdy, Traugutta and Kasztanowa streets in Wałbrzych may be intended for residential development.

The Porcelana Krzysztof company had a profit and a subsidy. Why did she fall?

As of January 1, 2023, Porcelana Krzysztof stopped producing porcelain. The planned further activities of the company were related to the sale of warehouse resources and fixed assets. Revenues from discontinued production in the 2021/2022 financial year amounted to PLN 14.9 million and the profit amounted to PLN 2.7 million. The company created write-offs for finished products in the amount of PLN 4.8 million, semi-finished products and work in progress in the amount of PLN 282 thousand. PLN and materials for the amount of PLN 1.1 million. The reason for this decision was sale after the balance sheet date with a negative margin or liquidation.

In March 2023, the company received a subsidy from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management under the name "Assistance for energy-intensive sectors related to sudden increases in natural gas and electricity prices in 2022". The proportional part of the funding received for the presented financial year is PLN 716,181.21. By the date of preparation of the financial statements, fixed assets had been sold for a total net amount of PLN 1,368,601.38.

By the date of preparation of the financial statements, employment was reduced by 101 people. The company sells stocks of materials and finished products, as well as fixed assets no longer used in production. The entity does not generate a financial loss on the sale of inventories, as they are covered by a write-down, and on the sale of fixed assets it generates and will generate a significant profit.

The new owner of Nordis Chłodnie i Porcelany Krzysztof

On September 29, 2023, a change in the structure of owners of the parent company in the capital group to which Porcelana Krzysztof belongs was reported to the National Court Register. STRAIM CAPITAL LIMITED acquired 22,566 shares with a total value of PLN 2,256,600 in NORDIS Chłodnie Polskie based in Zielona Góra, which is the owner of Porcelana Krzysztof. At the same time, on the same day, Dmytro Ushmaiev was inducted as president of the management board. USHMAIEVA ANASTASIIA, BUKREIEV YEVHENII and TYSHCHENKO ANDRII were added to the supervisory board.

Nordis Polskie Chłodnie is a producer of frozen foods and ice cream, which has a factory in Zielona Góra and a distribution network in 19 Polish cities. According to Portal Spożywczy, the takeover of Nordis does not mean the discontinuation of the production of the Polish company's brands. The main goal is to develop the Polish manufacturer on the domestic market and export them to the West and cooperate with the Ukrainian part of Ushmayev's business. For now, there are no plans to export the Polish brand to the Ukrainian market.
