Amazon has hailed a new record-breaking Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday period this year.
The online giant said its seasonal sale event was its largest to date, compared to the same 12-day period ending on Cyber Monday in prior years.
Running from 21 November 21 to 2 December, Amazon said it offered some of the biggest deals of the season across the 12-day period, resulting in record sales and a record number of items sold.
In the UK, customers shopped Alexa-enabled devices, including the newest models of Echo Dot and Fire TV Stick 4K.
Some of the best-selling products also included the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer, Pukka Herbs Advent Calendar and Oral-B Pro 3 Electric Toothbrush

Amazon said customers in the UK also gave returned products a second chance by shopping quality used, refurbished, or open-box products through its resale offer. Some of the most popular resale products included Russell Hobbs Steam and Clean, Fisher-Price Butterfly Dreams 3-In-1 Projection Mobile and Xbox Series S.
The holiday shopping event was also the biggest to date for independent sellers, whose products accounted for over 60% of sales made across the site during Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday.
