Customers shopping at Morrisons via Amazon can now earn loyalty points that can be redeemed as Morrisons More Card Fivers, both online and in-store at Morrisons.
The new More Points scheme is part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing the grocery shopping experience on the online giant.
The retailer has introduced a “grocery day” option, allowing customers to schedule a weekly delivery slot with a pre-filled basket. It has also rolled out a delivery pre-reservation feature for customers to secure a delivery slot up to 60 minutes in advance.
The service is available to millions across the UK, featuring a wide range of products from the supermarket, including new products from Morrisons Market Street.
Non-Prime customers can now shop for groceries on Amazon, while Prime members benefit from free same- or next-day delivery with a two-hour delivery window, provided they meet the minimum spend requirement.
As part of the launch, customers will earn five points on every eligible Morrisons product, while those who register their loyalty account and spend £70 in a single order within the first two weeks will receive 500 points.
Amazon director of grocery partnerships worldwide Russell Jones said: “We are committed to investing in ways for customers to get the best value for their weekly shop, and the integration of More Points to Morrisons on Amazon is a great new way for customers to be rewarded while getting their same-day grocery deliveries.
“Our partnership with Morrisons continues to go from strength to strength and the expansion to even more customers marks a significant milestone in our bid to build a best-in-class grocery shopping experience, where grocery shopping is simple, fast and affordable.”
Morrisons online director Charlotte Exell added: “As we continue to build on our important partnership with Amazon, we’re thrilled that customers can now earn More Card Points on their groceries as part of our Morrisons on Amazon service.
This week, Amazon unveiled its an own-brand budget-friendly food line called Amazon Saver in its latest grocery drive.
The online retailer has so far only debuted this new range in the US, offering exclusive discounts over a selection of grocery essentials both in-store and online.
