In June, spray oil from the Altaria brand appeared on the shelves of the Georgian premium supermarket chain Fresco. For Georgia, oil in spray is an already familiar format. In the Georgian market, in addition to traditional display and informational POS materials, the company uses online promotion through social networks popular in the country.
Altaria is an Altai brand that produces vegetable oils in vacuum packaging with a dispenser. The product can be found in Russia both on the shelves of federal chains such as OK, Metro, Life Mart, Miratorg, and on marketplaces.
“The specifics of the Georgian market are such that the most effective tool for promotion is Facebook*. There we get good response in the form of likes and messages. The Fresco chain also announced on its account that the oil appeared on the shelves, which also contributed to the growth of interest in the product , ” said Anastasia Kruch, manager of foreign economic activity.
The company has been negotiating with the distributor from Georgia since October 2023. In May 2024, the first shipment of 3,000 cylinders took place; just a month later, the batch was distributed throughout the distribution network and the distributor made a request for a new batch.
“We consider Georgia a very promising destination for export. The re-order for the batch was received quickly, the goods are not idle, the consumer needs them,” noted Victoria Kapustina, Altaria Marketing Director.
