The German discount chain had to overcome many obstacles in obtaining a building permit. The Lidl retail chain is to build a third store in Lasnamäe. “We have indeed finally received a building permit for the store on the plot of land at Linnamäe tee 28. Construction is expected to begin in the coming months,” Katrin Seppel, Lidl Eesti’s public relations manager, told Delfi Ärileht. There are currently two Lidl stores in Lasnamäe: at Tähesaju 4/6 and Raadikū 11a. According to Seppel, both stores have been very well received by customers, which prompted the retail chain to build a third store in Tallinn’s largest district. “We have decided to start building the third store in Lasnamäe,” she added.
