German media informed, that from three days all coal power plants in the country, which may resume operation, are reopened. The authorities have taken this decision in account of a serious crisis of the national energy system and the rapid decline in production of power from renewable sources. And what has happened?” The sky has clouded and the wind has died down.
Dark and quiet next time
It is another of a series of energy crises in Germany in the last months. The previous had occurred almost in mid November, when the so-called slump weather dropped installations of ZE sun and wind. When Germany deficited they filled with purchases of energy from nuclear power plants in Sweden and France, and from coal power plants in Poland. Our neighbors had to buy more power, than they were able to generate themselves.
Increased purchases by Germans have however caused jumps in price of power not only
by their, but for e.g. in the Germans. in Sweden. Even Sweden Minister of energy Ebba Busch criticized the German government at the time for
lax energy policy.

At a month before the election
Now the history is repeating. It took a few cloudy and foggy days, for wind and photovoltaic installations to prove almost useless. This caused the on the ruling country the Greens and Reds to outpour a wave of criticism. The implemented for years strategy of extinguishing conventional and nuclear power plants, and the complete rejection of power from renewable sources has proved to be a complete failure and a threat
not only to the economy of the country.
The authorities would not have allowed before the planned for February parliamentary elections
for next jumps in energy prices, stops of industrial plants and another wave of social dissatisfaction, which would be like
“water on the mill” for the German right.

Electric coal full power
Winter in Poland and in Sweden causes, that the demand in those countries for energy has increased, so imports of power would be this time more expensive, by how much in any possible to such extent. Hence the decision, to for winter restart those quenched coal power plants, which can still quickly resume operation.
German energy company Lausitz Energie Mining AG (Leag) has already stated, that to ensure safety of supply “all available coal units” have been returned to full capacity – reports portal Money.pl.

German media critically from country comments, that the decision by the authorities and that has been delayed, because an increase in
current rates in dynamic tariffs has not been avoided.
As we read also, the energy prices on the German exchange have
increased even tenfold – to 1000 euro per megawatt-hour. This is a crushing historic record.

Dirty energy saves Germany
In Germany for the next time a public debate about stability of the national energy system and failure of energy transformation. Despite having over 30 000 turbines of wind and nearly 4 million solar installations, the German system.Energy is not in capable of ensuring continuity of power supply. Government strategies have proved to be a threat to citizens and the economy.
Beyond this in the result of importing “dirty” energy and recurring operation of coal power plants, Germany will again become a poisoner, instead of precursors of clean energy.
Experts warned, and Greens have
Situation clearly showed, that
the decisions to exclude nuclear and conventional power plants were premature – the German media comment. Reported while experts are reminding, that preceding
such scenario events politicians have repeatedly advised and have indicated the need to preserve conventional power for emergency situations.
For Green and German environmentalists the current crisis is only evidence of this, that the country is still
too very dependent on fossil fuel and for slow investment in developing systems for energy storage RES.
