The only way to restore the community’s trust in airBaltic is to appoint new management who will continue to work with the set targets and revise them, said in the program “Morning Panorama” of Latvian TV (LTV) Minister of Economy Viktor Valainis (ZZS) .According to Valainis, the current management of the company has not taken sufficient measures to resolve the problem, which is not an indication of sufficient planning and risk management. This is not only damaging the reputation
of the company, but is also explicitly negatively impacting the economic development of Latvia. In the Minister’s view, the company is very good, but the community’s trust in
its management has already been weakening. The only way to restore the community’s trust in the company is to appoint new leadership. It has already been reported that airBaltic will have to cancel a total of 4670 flights in the summer 2025 season because of
unplanned maintenance of the engine, conducted by engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney. This will cause the cancellation of 5% of all flights scheduled for 2025 year. Lack of timely
