airBaltic has expanded its winter schedule with new routes from Riga

airBaltic пополнил зимнее расписание новыми маршрутами из Риги

In the upcoming winter season 2004/2005, the Latvian national airline airBaltic has expanded its route network with new routes from Riga to Innsbruck (Austria), Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt). Flights to Innsbruck are new to the airBaltic route network from Riga and will be operated once a week on Sundays, starting December 22. Innsbruck is located next to famous ski resorts such as Santon, Ischgl and Stubai, which attracts winter sports enthusiasts and offers a wide range of travel opportunities. This will be airBaltic's third destination in Austria in addition to Vienna and Salzburg. Instead of charter flights to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh, the airline will now offer scheduled flights twice a week. Passengers will be able to purchase tickets to these destinations directly from the airline, choosing between business class and economy class. In addition, TezTour and airBaltic will continue cooperation on flights to both Egyptian cities. “airBaltic remains the leading airline in the region, and by expanding our network with new routes in the winter season, we want to strengthen our position and ambitions to develop, improving connections between the Baltic countries and the rest of the world,” said the airline’s President Martin Gauss. In the upcoming winter season, the airline plans to launch a total of six new routes from the Baltic countries – four from Riga, one from Tallinn and one from Vilnius.
