The bankrupt Alytus sewing factory “Ager axis” is planning to lay off all 20 of the company’s employees, the Employment Service informs.
According to the Service, all of the employees to be laid off are seamstresses.
The company alerted the Service to the layoffs on December 11.
According to the UFA, the termination of the workers’ contracts is due to the bankruptcy of the employer.
According to data provided to the Centre of Registers, the profit of Ager Axis amounted to €3.3 thousand in 2023 and €14.8 thousand in 2022. The company’s debt to Sodra amounts to EUR 4.3 thousand and its debt to the State Tax Inspectorate amounts to around EUR 43.8 thousand.
Ager axis, which has been in operation since 2018, provides outerwear tailoring services.
