The payment of direct payments has been causing a lot of excitement lately. The payments for 2023 have only recently been transferred to farmers' accounts. Many farmers have still not received the money.
99% of direct payments for 2023 were paid by the end of June – says the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski. – There are still farms in which the applications contain certain shortcomings and errors and they are paid systematically – he adds.
The Minister also announced that the ministry is planning changes in the subsidy payment system.
Applications have already been collected for subsidies for the next year and these subsidies for the following year, for 2024 we want to accelerate so that advances are paid from mid-October this year on account of next year's subsidies – says the head of the Ministry of Agriculture.
