On Saturday morning, there was a dramatic accident involving an agricultural combine. A passenger car literally crashed into the oncoming machine. The damage was so extensive that at first firefighters were unable to determine the make of the passenger car.
The 18-year-old driving it had no chance. He died on the spot. According to the police, the probable cause of the accident was excessive speed.
The situation looks very bad. The driver of the combine harvester noticed a vehicle between Barnisław and Smolęcin. According to the report of the combine harvester driver, he tried to run away to the side of the road, but the driver of the car was driving very fast, at approximately 150 km/h, he left his lane, falling under the combine harvester – said the assistant officer in an interview with Interia. Paramedics, police and fire brigade units from Kołbaskowo, as well as from JRG PSP Szczecin and JRG PSP Police were sent to the scene of the accident. Additionally, a heavy technical rescue vehicle from JRG PSP Stargard was deployed.
