A fire broke out last night in Nowa Wieś in the Wronki commune, Szamotuły district. A semitrailer loaded with straw bales and the stubble around it were on fire. The cause of the fire and the extent of the losses are not yet known.
One fire brigade from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Szamotuły, two units of the Volunteer Fire Department from Wronki and one unit of the Volunteer Fire Department from Amica were dispatched to the scene.
"The actions of the fire brigade consisted of securing the scene of the incident, lighting the area of operations, applying three fire extinguishing jets to the burning straw on the trailer and the stubble, and extinguishing the fire.
The truck's semi-trailer, straw bales and stubble were burned," reports the District Police Headquarters in Szamotuły.
