AB-Batteries will launch an import-substituting enterprise for the production of alkaline batteries in the Krasnodar Territory in 2026. The vice-governor of the region, Alexander Ruppel, told RBC about this .

An agreement on the construction of the plant was signed with the authorities of the Krasnodar region at the international industrial exhibition "Innoprom-2022" in Yekaterinburg. A land plot of 10 hectares in the Adagum rural settlement of the Crimean region was chosen to locate the production. Investments in production will amount to 1 billion rubles.
“The project is being implemented in the Crimean region, in 2026 the enterprise will begin its production activities. They have already bought equipment and machines and built a site,” said the deputy governor.
The enterprise will launch two lines for the production of batteries of AA and AAA sizes, each of which will produce 500 cells per minute or more than 230 million units annually.
