The tragic accident happened in Hoszów, in the Bieszczady district in Podkarpacie. The 71-year-old resident wanted to ford the stream as usual, but he did not take into account the fact that due to previous storms, the water had risen and the current was very strong. His Mitsubischi was overturned and carried away by the stream.
Firefighters fished the car out of the river, but it was empty. The man's body was found nearby in the water, at the shore. It was too late to save the 71-year-old driver. Police officers from Ustrzyki, under the supervision of the prosecutor, are determining the causes of the accident and the man's death.
