Will soy win against other legumes?
All legumes are highly desirable in crop rotation. These species improve the properties of the soil, enrich it with "free" nitrogen, and have a positive effect on the balance of organic matter in the soil.
In our country, soybean is systematically gaining an advantage over other large-seeded legume species. The popularization of its cultivation is facilitated by, among others, high feed value and increasingly wider possibilities of use for human food purposes. Year by year, there are more and more solutions for effective chemical protection of soybeans and better varieties, which improves the facilities for effective cultivation of this species. At this point, it is worth noting that soybean, although "capricious", in a favorable season is able to produce a high yield of seeds, for which you can get a relatively high price in purchasing stores.
Of course, growing soybeans still has its challenges, but each year farmers become more familiar with its agrotechnics. Soybean is no longer a secret, and the more solutions are identified, the lower the risk, which is why the number of new growers increases. At the same time, the group of loyal soybean producers is strengthening; on their farms, soybean is an integral part of crop rotation.
