Sergey Anokhin will become the new general director of PJSC VimpelCom , writes Interfax . Previously, he worked as first vice president and financial director of Rostelecom.

The current CEO of VimpelCom, Alexander Torbakhov, will head the company’s board of directors in the future. The changes will come into force on September 2.
“Over the past few years, the Beeline team has done a lot to improve the quality of the network, key products and services. The foundation has been formed for the possibility of further development and growth both in traditional telecom and in related areas that are in demand by clients. This will be the focus of my attention and efforts in my new role,” Anokhin commented.
Anokhin has worked at Rostelecom since 2017, and since 2018 he has served as First Vice President – Chief Financial Officer, which he left in July 2024. At Rostelecom, he was responsible for the formation of the development strategy, the financial block, the development of new business areas, launched a target program and promoted the development of the company’s customer-centricity.
