Ecobirch, a company that mainly produces birch wood worktops and is located in Pärnumaa, suffered losses last year for the first time in the last decade, Delovye Vedomosti writes .
According to the company's annual report, revenues in 2023 were 20.3 million euros, down 50% from 2022.
As a result, 2023 ended with a loss of 2.5 million euros, while the operating profit a year earlier was 6.8 million euros, the annual report says.
Last year, the company experienced a sharp decline in sales – the volume of glued panels sales decreased by 54% compared to 2022, amounting to 13,200 m³ compared to 28,951 m³ in 2022.
