New openings of the Sport Life network
During a full-scale war, the national network of sports clubs Sport Life continues to actively grow in quantity. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the capital's Retroville shopping center was damaged by missile attacks by Russia, including the Sport Life sports center. However, the most important event of the first half of 2024 was the return to Retroville. CEO of the shopping center Renata Yakubcheniene in an interview for RAU said that this event was highly anticipated by residents of the Vinogradar district and this immediately significantly affected the traffic of the shopping center.

Also at the end of August, the premium club Sport Life opened in the capital's shopping center Blockbuster Mall. It features new ultra-modern swimming pools, a gym, saunas made of fresh wood, and a children's club.
Back at the end of summer, Sport Life Dynamo opened its doors in the capital, located on the territory of the Dynamo stadium named after V. V. Lobanovsky. This is an innovative premium spa fitness club with a modern gym, jacuzzi, swimming pool with an artificial waterfall, cozy spa area and exclusive spa cinema.
And at the beginning of September Sport Life Karavaevy Dachi started operating in Kyiv.

New Puma store in Ivano-Frankivsk Veles Mall
In July, a new Puma store opened in the Veles Mall shopping center. This opening is an important step in the brand's strategy aimed at expanding its presence in the Ukrainian market and increasing brand awareness among Ukrainian consumers. The new outlet occupies an area of about 300 sq. m and corresponds to the modern Forever Faster concept, reflecting the company's desire to be one step ahead in the field of sports fashion.
Light design, stylish equipment and mannequins of different sizes create a space that inspires movement and reaching new heights. The store's assortment includes a wide selection of products: from running and training clothes to stylish collections for children and adults.
New Sport City in Rivne's Equator shopping mall
At the end of August, a new store of the Sport City sports goods chain opened in the Ekvator shopping center with an area of 774 sq. m. Here, customers will find a wide selection of high-quality sportswear, shoes and accessories from leading global brands such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Puma, Asics, Columbia, Jack Wolfskin, Skechers, Evoids, Radder. In Sport City, you can buy goods for various sports: from running and football to fitness and yoga. This is the second store in Rivne and the thirty-eighth in the chain.
First, a full-scale war against the New Yorker store
Lviv shopping mall King Cross Leopolis will be replenished by a new tenant by the end of 2024 – the international brand New Yorker. URTC writes about this.
Tochka will be the retailer's first new store in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war. This was reported by Colliers Ukraine, which acted as a consultant on the transaction. It is already known that the new store will be located on an area of 1,350 sq. m.
Flagman Fishing Store Network Grows in Size and Celebrates 24 Years
In early August, a new Flagman store opened in Poltava in the Kyiv shopping center. It is also known that an opening will soon take place in Novomoskovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region. In general, during the full-scale war, the network has grown quantitatively by more than 20 new stores.
Let us recall that the chain is actively developing VTM, of which there are four in the portfolio and they make up approximately 70% of the assortment – Flagman, Carp Pro, Azura and Forrest. And in September the company celebrates 24 years and invites everyone to the celebration.
New Apollo Next in the capital
In early July, a new Apollo Next opened in the capital's Unicenter shopping center on the second floor at 1 Darnitskaya Square. Let us remind you that the company appeared in Ukraine in 2021, is part of the Fozzy group and is developing a network of affordable fitness clubs offering new approaches to sports. And the development strategy involves opening sports clubs in cities with a population of more than 100,000 people (based on the calculation – one sports club per 150,000 residents).
All sports clubs of the chain are located in shopping malls, which corresponds to the concept of accessible sports. In addition, in September 2023, the chain opened Apollo Next Fitness Academy – a European-level trainer training program that allows you to get a new profession in just four months. At the start of its work, the sports chain agreed on an exclusive partnership with the New Zealand company LesMills, which creates the best group training for every taste. Apollo Next has created a unique physical and virtual sports space, where guests have access to training under any circumstances and can work out both in the gym and remotely.
