The company wants to employ 260 people. including production workers, line workers, confectionery and packaging machine operators. At the end of June 2024, Dr. Gerard employed almost 1,130 people.
Production at Dr. Gerard will increase by several thousand tons of cookies per year
– Thanks to the new lines, we will increase the production of wafers, tubes and dragees. We will also produce Adam Foods products, according to the recipes of our Spanish owner. We assume that production will ultimately increase by several thousand tons of cookies per year. The new production lines will be put into operation in stages. The first of them will start work in the third quarter of 2024, and the last works should be completed in the first quarter of 2025. Therefore, we immediately need to increase our employment – says Jarosław Zawadzki, president of Dr. Gerard.
Employees needed for Dr. Gerard's plants
Dr. Gerard will employ approximately 60 people for the plant in Radzyń Podlaski, and approximately 200 for the plant in Międzyrzec Podlaski. The company is looking for operators of confectionery, packaging, chocolate and pastry machines, production workers and line workers.
Job candidates do not need to have extensive experience, as new employees will undergo appropriate training. However, those interested should have the ability to plan and organize their work, basic technical knowledge and a booklet for sanitary and epidemiological purposes. Experience in working in food production is desirable.
The biscuit manufacturer is also open to cooperation with vocational schools to enable students to undergo apprenticeships and internships, and willingly employs foreigners.
New products on the market Dr. Gerard
Recently, Dr. Gerard has introduced the first products of its owner, the Spanish company Adam Foods, to the market under its own brand. Two flavors of Filipinos cookies are available in Żabka stores. The new, original product of Dr. Gerard are cocoa tartlets in two variants – with salted caramel cream and a sprinkle of roasted corn, and with coffee cream and a sprinkle of roasted cocoa beans.
Let us recall that in October 2023, Adam Foods Biscuit Group, the owner of, among others, the Cuétara and Artiach brands, finalized the acquisition of the manufacturer of cookies, wafers and crackers – Dr. Gerard from the Bridgepoint investment fund.
Dr. Gerard is one of the largest producers of cookies and wafers in Poland and the entire region of Central and Eastern Europe. The company's production is located in two plants – in Międzyrzec Podlaski and Radzyń Podlaski. In addition to domestic sales, Dr. Gerard products are exported to almost 50 countries. The company has subsidiaries in Romania and Hungary. Dr. Gerard's sales for 2023 exceeded PLN 500 million.
