A serious fire occurred yesterday afternoon in a field in Wybranów, in the Rojewo commune, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The baler baling straw and stubble burst into flames. The fire quickly spread to a field with unharvested wheat.
According to the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Inowrocław, the fire burned 2 hectares of stubble, 25 straw bales and 2 hectares of standing grain. The straw baler also burned down. The fire was extinguished by 5 teams of firefighters from the State Fire Service Inowrocław, the Volunteer Fire Department Złotniki Kujawskie, the Volunteer Fire Department Rojewo, the Volunteer Fire Department Jaksice and the Volunteer Fire Department Rojewice. Fortunately, firefighters managed to successfully stop the further progress of the fire.
