A serious fire broke out on a farm in the village of Bartniki in the Lipsk commune, in the Augustów district in Podlasie. As we read in the report of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Augustów, the call concerned a car fire, but when firefighters arrived at the scene, two farm buildings were already on fire and the flames were threatening two more buildings.
In one of the burning buildings there were several calves and agricultural products were stored. Unfortunately, the building burned down along with the livestock. A passenger car and another building serving as a workshop, along with its equipment, also burned down completely.
Firefighters managed to save the wooden building of the owners and the adjacent garage with agricultural machinery from the fire. After extinguishing the fire, the burnt roof structures were dismantled. "Two teams from JRG Augustów and five units of the Volunteer Fire Department took part in the 3-hour operation: Bartniki, Lipsk, Gruszki, Siółko, Krasne" – reports the PSP command in Augustów.
