The book “(Not) Clean Minsk” in the genre of urban fantasy has started selling in OZ network. The collection includes 15 mythical stories, which reveal the city from an unexpected side. Booklovers predict the novelty a place in the list of Belarusian bestsellers.

The collection was prepared by the community of Belarusian fiction “Shuflyadka writer. The book has 15 authors – each contributed a story. All of them are different, but united geographically – the stories take place on the streets of Minsk. The plots are amazing: they introduce mermaids, talking cats, vampires, midnight invisible cab. Among the characters of Belarusian mythology there are Padnor, Gajovki and Apiwen. Minsk has never been shown like this before.

Locations play a huge role: the plots take place between the Station Towers, along the Svisloch embankment, near the Bolshoi Theater and on the Minsk Sea. Characters look into the Tsentralny department store, go down to the Oktyabrskaya metro station and cross the Kalvarisky cemetery. Fantasies come to life at the “Minsk-Severny” railway station and in the gallery of paintings and antiques “Raritet”.

“Modern readers love works in which magic and miracles are skillfully woven into urban reality. This partly explains the success of the Harry Potter universe, whose novels are still top sellers. The book “(Not) Clean Minsk” also offers a fresh look at what your favorite city can be. And what you will read on its pages will shake your imagination. And since the stories are written by different writers, the stories turned out to be different – with their own plot, characters and subtext. We expect that the book will become a new Belarusian bestseller,” noted in the network OZ.

According to the authors, the book is dedicated to fans of urban fantasy and mystical stories. And also to those who want to know Minsk from an unexpected side. The heroes of the stories see a mermaid’s tail in the dark waters of Svislocha, a ghostly silhouette of a ballerina near the Bolshoi Theater, an extra statue at the Gate of Minsk and a midnight cab.

Fantasy writers advise not to confess about the bell ringing on the platform, not to argue with the pastry chef of the Tsentralny department store and to follow the stars that disappear for a reason.

The book “(Un)clean Minsk” costs 29.49 rubles. It can already be ordered online with home delivery or self-delivery. The collection has also started arriving in OZ stores nationwide.
