Małopolska Hodowla Plant is one of the largest Polish breeding and seed companies, with traditions dating back to the mid-19th century. MHR specializes in breeding varieties of corn, spring and winter cereals, fodder beet, fodder and lawn grasses, and small-seeded legumes. The National Register includes over 80 varieties of 24 plant species.
Financing for a new warehouse complex
On August 1, Małopolska Hodowla Plant, owned by KGS SA, concluded an agreement with the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture to cover the investment "Construction and equipment of a storage and distribution center in Muszkowice" with non-returnable support from the National Reconstruction Plan. The amount of funding from KPO funds is PLN 1,098,413 with the estimated total cost of the project at PLN 6,600,000 net.

The investment includes the construction of a storage and drying complex, which will expand the scope of services offered by MHR to include the purchase, storage and forwarding of grain from the local market. The task will be implemented in 2025/26.
Cooperation with the University of Agriculture in Krakow
Another important step in the development of Małopolska Plant Breeding is the letter of intent signed in July with the University of Agriculture. Hugo Kołłątaj in Krakow. Both parties declare their will to intensify their existing cooperation in the field of information exchange, staff training and implementation of modern technologies in plant breeding.

Cooperation with the University of Agriculture will allow MHR to more effectively implement modern technologies and solve current problems in plant breeding.
