The Claas combine caught fire during the grain harvest at Wólka Wieprzecka in the Zamość commune, Lublin Voivodeship. Four teams of firefighters from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Zamość, the Kosobudy Volunteer Fire Department, the Białowola Volunteer Fire Department and the Mokre Volunteer Fire Department set off to extinguish the fire.
According to information from the Zamość police station, the engine compartment of the combine harvester caught fire. The machine operator tried to put out the fire with fire extinguishers before the arrival of firefighters, but he did not put out the fire. Firefighters managed to bring the situation under control after over an hour of extinguishing the fire. They also prevented the fire from spreading to the fields.
The causes of the fire are unknown. According to KM PSP Zamość, there was a fire in a combine harvester in the district during this year's harvest.
