Stabilization on the Danish piglet exchange
This time, the Danish piglet exchange did not bring about a drop in prices. After eight weeks of a downward trend, the rates were maintained.
PRRS negative piglets have once again been priced at DKK 525.00/piece, while PRRS positive piglets have once again been priced at DKK 495.00/piece. The rates apply to piglets weighing 30 kg.
Compared to the same period last year (week 34), the current prices for weaners are lower by 120-130 DKK/piece, depending on health status. Compared to last week, the current prices have not changed.

Current rates for Danish piglets (15.08.2024)
- The rate for PRRS negative piglets is DKK 525.00/unit, i.e. PLN 302.03/unit, compared to PLN 304.13/unit last week.
- The rate for PRRS positive piglets is DKK 495.00/unit, i.e. PLN 284.77/unit, compared to PLN 286.75/unit last week.
- The rate for conventional piglets is DKK 470.00/unit, i.e. PLN 270.39/unit, compared to PLN 272.27/unit last week.
1 DKK = 0.5753 PLN (according to the National Bank of Poland as of 14/08/2024)
The rates shown will be valid in Denmark for the next week.
Please note that the given rates include a bonus for the producer of weaners and, in the case of import, also transport costs.
