According to the City Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Konin, a serious building fire occurred on a farm in the town of Lisiec Mały, in the Stare Miasto commune, in the Wielkopolska province. The attic and roof of the farm building complex were on fire, and on it a photovoltaic installation. The building contained 22 pigs, several dozen poultry and the farmer's car.
As we read in the report, the owner had taken the car out of the garage and disconnected the electrical and photovoltaic installations before the firefighters arrived. "The firefighters' actions consisted of sending four jets of water to the burning building. At the same time, the pigs were evacuated to a nearby barn. Further actions consisted of extinguishing the smoldering elements of the roof structure. Unfortunately, as a result of the fire, approximately 20 dead hens were found in the building," the State Fire Service in Konin reports.
The causes of the fire are unknown. Firefighters from the Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 2 in Konin and firefighters from the OSP Lisiec Wielki, OSP Modła Królewska and OSP Stare Miasto participated in the extinguishing operation.
