According to the results of the study, more than a quarter of respondents who have one channel for selling products plan to increase the number of sales platforms in the future. And among those who do not yet have an online store, every third plans to launch one within the next three years.

70% of entrepreneurs who have their own online store believe that their own platform allows them to analyze sales and find new growth points for their business. And about 75% of companies sell goods both on the website of an online store and on marketplaces, and use advertising in search engines, advertising networks and mobile applications. 68% of respondents prefer advertising on marketplaces, 53% on social networks.

Experts also noted the active use by companies of additional sales opportunities (that is, offering a related product, service or discount), which is a fairly effective promotion tool. It is used by almost all (96%) companies that place products both in their online store and on the marketplace.

According to the authors of the study, survey data demonstrate that modern businesses actively work with their customer base, develop loyalty programs, launch mailings, and also target advertising to online store visitors. The survey was conducted among 1,054 business representatives from the field of online commerce with a staff of 15 or more employees.
