The initial estimate of the damage after a fire on a farm between Biberach and Birkenhardt in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, was 400,000 euros. According to the Bavarian Agricultural Weekly, a wooden and brick barn burned down, along with several hundred bales of straw and around 600 tons of grain and rapeseed. The fire also destroyed two agricultural machines.
When the fire brigade arrived, the entire building was already engulfed in flames and it was impossible to save the harvested crops or the equipment stored inside. The barn burned down completely. Firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to a nearby house. The police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
